Sidewired AI — Privacy

Two deployment models

Sidewired AI is available in two forms. How your data is handled depends entirely on which deployment your organisation is using.

Supply — The Sidewired Box

Your data never leaves your infrastructure.

The Sidewired Box is a self-hosted deployment. Sidewired provides the software — AI models, the neurodivergent intelligence layer, the interface — and it runs entirely on your organisation's own servers.

  • Your organisation is the data controller
  • Sidewired has no access to your data, your users, or your conversations
  • The system is air-gapped — no data leaves your network
  • Your organisation's own data protection policies apply

This model is designed specifically for organisations with strict data governance requirements — NHS trusts, universities, large employers subject to the Equality Act 2010.

Convert — ND Layer applied to your existing AI

Sidewired applies the neurodivergent accessibility layer to your existing AI platform.

In this model, Sidewired does not handle your data directly. We configure and apply the ND layer to your existing system — Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar. Your data continues to flow through your existing provider under your existing data processing agreements.

  • Your existing AI provider remains the data processor
  • Sidewired's role is configuration and setup — not ongoing data processing
  • No user conversation data passes through Sidewired's systems

Individual access (web)

Individual users accessing Sidewired AI via the web are covered by a separate agreement at sign-up. Data handling for individual users follows the same principles as the Sidewired app — minimal collection, no profiling, no selling of data.
